A walk across the old town of Ljubljana, we will follow the river and discover the city sights, the beautiful bridges, the charming cafes, and the best ice cream spots. We will focus on the works of the most famous Slovenian architect Plečnik, and see how his masterpieces shaped the character of the Ljubljana city centre.
We will start the tour at the Križanke summer theatre, continue along the river to admire the numerous bridges, stop at the monument to the nation's favourite poet Prešeren, cross the Triple bridge, and admire the old baroque town, with a stop in the favourite gay café.
We will continue along the old marketplace, and walk a little distance outside the town centre to see where the locals go to a party on the weekends in the alternative area of Metelkova, with its only gay club in Ljubljana.
We will return the same route and finish our tour at the foot of the castle hill, where it will be possible to take the funicular up on top to admire the views.
